Frequently asked questions

Which Types of Businesses Are Dell Servers Suitable For?

The Dell PowerEdge family has tower models for offices, rack models for server rooms and rugged models for edge sites. We choose the series by installation site and workload.

How Are Dell Servers Managed and Monitored?

iDRAC is the management controller on the server and monitors it remotely. OpenManage manages multiple servers. We use these tools for status monitoring and firmware updates.

What Are the Security Features of Dell Servers?

According to Dell, PowerEdge servers offer hardware and software security features such as TPM, Secure Boot and System Lockdown. We enable them during setup and restrict access to the management interface.

What Are the Energy-Saving Features of Dell Servers?

PowerEdge servers offer power management profiles. We set the profile for your workload and the cooling conditions of the server room.

What Are the Scalability Features of Dell Servers?

Capacity can grow later with memory, disk and expansion card slots. We take your growth plan into account when choosing.

Which Dell PowerEdge series should we select?

For a server room or a data center, we recommend R-Series rack servers. Offices without a cabinet use T-Series tower servers. The XR-Series is right for the edge, and the XE-Series for AI workloads that need GPUs. We make the choice together by the workload and the growth plan.

Which operating system do you install on a Dell server?

We install Windows Server, Linux or a virtualization platform such as Proxmox VE, Microsoft Hyper-V or VMware. Before the installation, we check the compatibility of the version with the server model in the manufacturer's compatibility list.

Do you also supply Dell desktops and laptops?

Yes. We supply Dell Pro desktops and laptops and Dell Pro Max and Dell Pro Precision workstations through our Hardware Supply service. We select the model by the user profile.
