File storage and sharing
Files
Upload files, organise them in folders and synchronise them automatically between your devices. Preview PDF and other files.
Versioning and trash bin
Go back to an earlier version of a file. Restore a deleted file from the trash bin.
Link sharing
Add a password, an expiry date and a download limit to a share link. You can also share a file by email.
Shared folders and permissions
We create shared folders for teams and set detailed permissions for users and groups.
Text editing in the browser
Edit Markdown and text files together in the browser.
Activity and comments
Follow the activity history of a file and add comments to files.
Security
- Data travels only over HTTPS (TLS).
- Two-factor authentication (TOTP and backup codes) is supported.
- A password policy and brute-force protection apply.
- Data is hosted in our Istanbul data centre.
Configuration for your organisation
- Use SyncCloud with your own domain name.
- We set the quota per user and per shared folder, as you need.
- Connect other systems over WebDAV, the Provisioning API and webhooks. Federation with other Nextcloud servers is possible.
Clients
The Nextcloud desktop client runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and the mobile app runs on iOS and Android. You can also connect with apps that support WebDAV.
Backup is an additional service
Versioning and the trash bin do not replace a backup. We offer backup for your SyncCloud data as a separate service.
Cloud Backup
We send encrypted backups of your servers and virtual machines to cloud storage. We monitor backup jobs and test restores on a regular basis.
Local Backup
We keep backups of your servers, virtual machines and applications on local disk or NAS storage. We send one copy to a separate target to apply the 3-2-1 rule.
