Grandstream, our solution partner
Grandstream makes SIP-based voice communication and business networking products. Grandstream is a solution partner of Synchron. Synchron uses Grandstream IP PBX systems, IP phones, Wi-Fi and DECT phones, access points and switches in its projects. It installs, configures and operates these products.
Grandstream products we use
UCM6300 series IP PBX
A SIP-based business phone system. It gives extensions, call routing and audio conferencing. With the Grandstream Wave app, users make calls from a desktop, a web browser or a mobile device.
IP phones (GRP and GXP series)
SIP desk phones. The UCM PBX finds Grandstream phones automatically with zero-config provisioning.
DECT phones (DP series)
DP750, DP752 and DP755 base stations with DP7xx handsets. The DP760 repeater extends the coverage area.
Wi-Fi phones (WP series)
SIP handsets that work over the business wireless network. Most models have a push-to-talk button; the rugged models are protected against water and dust.
Access points (GWN76xx series)
Indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi access points. GWN767x models support Wi-Fi 7. Each access point has an embedded controller.
Switches (GWN78xx and GWN77xx series)
Layer 2, Layer 3, aggregation and unmanaged switch models. PoE models supply power to IP phones and access points through the cable.
Central management
The GDMS cloud platform and the on-premises GWN Manager software configure and monitor Grandstream devices from one screen.

Frequently asked questions
How many users can a Grandstream IP PBX support?
Depending on the model, the UCM6300 series supports up to 3,000 users and 450 concurrent calls. The UCM6300 Audio series supports up to 1,500 users and 200 concurrent calls. Synchron selects the model by user count and concurrent call needs.
What is the difference between a DECT phone and a Wi-Fi phone?
A DECT phone connects to its own base station and uses a separate radio frequency. Thus it does not add load to the Wi-Fi network. A Wi-Fi phone uses the existing wireless network; the network must have sufficient coverage and prioritization for voice. Synchron makes the selection by site layout and use case.
Can remote staff use the PBX?
Yes. The Grandstream Wave app works on Android, iOS and web browsers. UCM RemoteConnect makes it easier for remote users and devices to connect securely to the PBX.
Do Grandstream access points need a separate controller?
No. Each GWN access point has an embedded controller. On most models, this controller manages up to 50 access points. For larger networks, Synchron uses the on-premises GWN Manager or the cloud-based GDMS Networking.
Do Grandstream phones work with other SIP PBX systems?
Grandstream IP phones use the SIP standard. Synchron checks compatibility with another PBX before installation.
Do you give support after the Grandstream installation?
Yes. Within Wired and Wireless Network Management and Field Support Services, Synchron gives software updates, configuration changes and on-site troubleshooting.
