Privacy notice on the processing of job applicants’ personal data
This notice informs job applicants under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). The Turkish text prevails.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Synchron Bilişim İletişim İnternet Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi (the “Company”). Address: Brandium Residence R2 Blok K:22 D:204 Ataşehir, Istanbul, Türkiye.
2. Personal data we process
- Identity data: first name, last name.
- Contact data: email address, phone number, address.
- CV data: education, work experience, skills, certificates and language skills.
- Application data: the position applied for, interview notes and assessment results.
- Reference data: details of the referees you share.
Please do not add special categories of personal data, such as health data, religion or association membership, to your CV.
3. Purposes of processing
- Receiving and assessing your application.
- Planning interviews and communicating with you.
- Assessing your fit for the position.
- With your explicit consent, keeping your application to contact you when a suitable position opens.
4. Method of collection and legal basis
We collect your personal data through our careers page, email, job posting platforms and interviews, by fully or partly automated means or by non-automated means.
We process your personal data on these legal bases in Article 5(2) of the KVKK: it is directly related to the conclusion of a contract (item c), and it is necessary for the legitimate interests of the Company, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (item f). Keeping your application for future positions is based on your explicit consent (Article 5(1)).
5. Transfer of personal data
For the purposes above and in line with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, we may transfer your personal data to competent public authorities and to suppliers that support our recruitment process.
6. Retention period
We keep the personal data in your application for 2 years from the application date. If the applicable legislation sets a longer period, we follow that period. When the period ends, we erase, destroy or anonymise your data in line with the KVKK.
7. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed;
- request information if your personal data has been processed;
- learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose;
- know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom your personal data is transferred;
- request the correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
- request the erasure or destruction of your personal data under the conditions of Article 7 of the KVKK;
- request that the correction, erasure or destruction is notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred;
- object to a result against you that arises from the analysis of the data exclusively by automated systems;
- claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing of your personal data.
